Located 13 kilometres east of Şile district centre, Kabakoz is an ancient Greek village established in the Byzantine Period. It is known especially with its nature, long beach and 700 years old oriental plane tree (Platanus orientalis). 3-4 people can fit in the hole of the giant plane tree in the village square. Kabakoz beach has one of the best preserved coastlines in Şile, and the bays offer extraordinary landscapes for those whowant to take pictures.
