After passing Şile Lighthouse, you can reach the shooting point by following Harmankaya Street and then Sahil Street. You can also frame the castle along with the sea view from this shooting point. Harmankaya is a karstic bridge formation in the north-east of Şile city centre. Karst is a topography consisting of erosion of soluble rocks such as limestone, dolomite and gypsum. If shaped by external factors such as waves or currents, it can take on a bridge-like shape as a result of changes in the material by factors such as erosion and absorption. Harmankaya is a geologically important region located at the tip of the karstic descent zone and shaped by sea waves. This is among the little-known geological heritage of Şile.
