Kaletepe recreation area is located at the entrance of the centre of Yeniköy. You can meet all your needs in the village. Kaletepe is a large recreation area covered with deciduous forests. You can come across a healthy area of forest, a mix of chestnut (Castanea sativa), Oriental beech (Fagus orientalis), hornbeam (Carpinus betulus), Hungarian oak and sessile oak (Quercus robur). Forests birds such as robin (Erithacus rubecula), Eurasian jay (Garrulus glandarius), Syrian woodpecker (Dendrocopus syriacus) can be observed in the area in all seasons. You can also observe throughout the winter months the birds like hawfinch (Coccothraustes coccothraustes) and siskin (Spinus spinus). If you enjoy birdwatching, you can visit the birdwatching tower, a little northeast of the recreation area.
