GEORGIA WINE ROUTE
Kutaisi – Martvili 

For small groups (5-10 pax)


 

Program – price for 1 person 290 USD

 

Day 1
  • Arrival to Kutaisi International airport
  • Meeting with guide, transfer to the hotel, express check in 
  • After some rest we offer Kutaisi city tour and visit SATAPLIA National reserve
  • Depending on arrival time we offer lunch and dinner for the guests. Lunch will be hold in Kutaisi city center restaurant, dinner by Mako’s Ethno house in the neighbor village Gelati. Mako will offer traditional imeretian food and culinary master-classes of most popular dishes of the regios
  • Overnight by Mako’s house in Gelati village 

Day 2 (see detailed description in the slides)
  • After breakfast by Mako, transfer to MARTVILI CANYONS in Samegrelo region. Boot trip and swimming in the canyons, some rest in the beautiful nature of Martvili National reserve. After, walking and cycling tour upon educational trails
  • Lunch in Martvili, in Family Wine Oda: traditional tasty lunch and wine degustation
  • After lunch visit of Ancient fortress NOKALAKEVI, 4-6 BC, with an option to swimm in the hot sulfur spot in Tekhura river. Dinner with bio wine degustation in Marvili, at the winery by Zaza Gagua. Overnight by Mako’s house in Gelati village 
Day 3
  • Check out from the guesthouse, visit of GELATY and MOTSAMETA monastery.  After transfer to the VANI Architectural museum, with unique KOLCHIDA Gold collection. Lunch at the Baya’s winery in Baghdadi. Transfer to the KUTAISI airport


 






Day 2 - the main part of program

After visiting Martvili canyons, guests will follow the hiking and cycling trails, prepared in frames of project. Day trip will be divided in two: 

  1. Part: hiking to Balda canyon, visit of waterfalls and monastery. 
  2. Part: bicycle trip in Dedamoka gorge incl. bird watching and some educational session in the pick nick area  (please see pictures).

This kind of travel allows guests to meet local people and exchange their experience, immerse into local life and see how people live in real. Such kind of interaction can be very helpful for both sides, hosts and travelers
