Akçakese is located on Ağva road. The 800-meter long beach of the village is covered with an eye-catching white beach. In windy weather, magnificent images are formed when giant waves hit the rocky formations on the shore. This beach has been home to many commercials and video clips. You can also get a bird’s eye view from the stairs that go up to the top of the beach. Akçakese is a settlement that was established during the Byzantine period and is located on a hill that faces to the villages in its vicinity. It is believed to take its name from Akça Kilise, which means White Church. Although the church ruins are not solid, if examined, columns and large stones from the original structure can be seen on the eastern part of the beach. You can also photograph the wooden houses that are under protection and you can explore on foot in the village.
